Give Yourself a Hug

Once you have a baby, a shower can seem like a stolen pleasure. Yet pregnancy and nursing can take a toll on your chest, and what was once a welcome refresher can quickly turn to an exercise in pain as your tender, enlarged breasts are exposed to stinging shower sprays.

The Shower Hug™ was created by a mom, and made of the softest, most luxurious knit terry velour to provide expectant and new moms with gentle bust line support and to soothe sensitivity associated with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Simply wrap the The Shower Hug™ around your chest and back and attach with a Velcro closure to secure for comfort.

The Shower Hug™ can act as a warm compress to soothe soreness and ease engorgement, and can help hold cold or heat packs in place. It can also be worn at nighttime to absorb any breast milk leaks. The Shower Hug™ is machine washable, and available for $28.

Exclusive for One Chic Mama readers
Win The Shower Hug™ to experience for yourself. If you're a pregnant, or a new or nursing mama, this is for you! To enter, just leave us a comment (don't forget your email address) and tell us how this can bring comfort to you. The deadline is Midnight, EST, September 8, 2008.

Um, 3 days after your child is born...the day you can imagine what you would look like if you had breast augmentation...THAT is the time I would use it! The point at which your milk comes in is so painful - this is a great idea.

What a wonderful idea. As a breast feeding Mommy I can definitely identify with the discomfort associated with it. But it is so worthwhile!

Man, I sure could have used this wrap many years ago when my son suddenly decided to quit nursing and left me engorged. Showers were so painful then. Now that my niece is finally pregnant, I'd love to add this wrap to her baby shower gift basket. Whoever developed this wrap is a new momma life saver.

Oh, my goodness! I would love this! I'm due with my second in November and I had HUGE problems with my first and nursing. My breasts and nipples were sore for four months. My nipples bled so much, I almost had to stop breastfeeding because Kora was getting almost as much blood as milk. I've been looking for something like this to ease the pain this time around!

My breasts are constantly killing me. I feel like am either pumping or nursing and my chest is so sore. Also, these nursing bras only comfort so much, then they get irritating.

I'll be having our first baby (a girl) in a few short weeks. I had decided to breast feed, and am horrified by all the stories I've been hearing. I really hope it's not as painful as everyone has been saying.

I breastfed with my first child and boy do I wish I would have had something like that to prevent the shower from irritating my breasts! I'm already feeling irritation during my 4th month of pregnancy with this baby. I really think this would help with irritation when I like to go bra-less at night as well.

5 months pregnant and my hubby gives me plenty of hugs. Oh, he loves me, but he loves the glands also. I didn't mind at first, but lately they are getting a bit sore. This hug would help me greatly.

The Shower Hug can provide comfort by providing a place to put compresses or cold/hot packs.
